BDA survey – dental foundation training recruitment process 2013
The BDA is running a survey aimed at final year dental students to find out about your experiences of the recent dental foundation training (DFT) recruitment process. They want to hear your opinions, positive or negative, and if you have any suggestions for improvement.
Why are they running this survey?
In 2011, the Committee of Postgraduate Dental Deans and Directors (COPDEND), through the London Deanery, implemented a new application process for dental foundation training. This process is now in its second year. The BDA conducted a survey of the process last year and as a result made some recommendations to COPDEND for improvements. They are repeating the survey this year to gauge your views and experiences of the recruitment process.
What will happen to the results?
The results will be used to evaluate the DFT application process. They will also be published on the BDA website and submitted to COPDEND.
How long will the survey take to complete?
The survey asks about your experiences of the application and interview process and should only take around 10-15 minutes to complete.
The survey opened on 11 March 2013 and will close on 5 April 2013.
Am I eligible to take part in the survey?
This survey is only open to final year dental students.
